Apprentice Plumber

A temporary full-time opportunity to support the delivery of essential repairs and maintenance services across hospital facilities, working under the guidance of the Trade Manager and Leading Hands.

About the role
As an Apprentice Plumber, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of maintenance and repair services across The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH) facilities. Working under the guidance of experienced trade professionals, you will develop practical skills and knowledge while contributing to the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of essential infrastructure. This role offers a structured learning environment where you will gain hands-on experience across a range of plumbing tasks, while completing your formal apprenticeship qualification.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Ensure that safe work practices and safety procedures are adopted at all times and that protective clothing and equipment provided is worn and used as recommended.
- Assist trades persons in all aspects of their work so as to maximise learning experiences.
- Respond to work requests allocated by Trade Manager and liaise with customers to understand maintenance requirements.
- Work with trade staff in other sections to deliver multi-disciplinary works
- Ensure effective communication with trade staff, customers and patients as required.
