About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Facilitate medicines use evaluation, quality use of medicines projects and contribute to clinical research activities within the Pharmacy unit.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of clinical practices, procedures and protocols that support the continuum of care incorporating an interdisciplinary focus as well as the standardisation and optimisation of digital systems.
- Undertake high level Pharmacy duties with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision
- Supervise HP3 level and support staff and participate in efficient and effective medicines dispensing services
- Communicate effectively with inpatient multidisciplinary teams on the opportunities for medication optimisation, and the plan for patient's medication as an inpatient, and as they cross healthcare settings.
- Provide sound, high-level advice and assistance to clinical staff for evidence-based evaluation of new medicine therapies, and to professional and operational supervisors regarding service delivery
