Provides clinical support and develops skills while completing mandatory tertiary pharmacy studies.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Work within a scope of practice that is commensurate with the level of knowledge and skill development of current tertiary studies in Pharmacy (previously assessed as being competent in).
- Under direction from the Pharmacist, perform a range of clinical assessment and treatment tasks within the scope of practice including dispensing of prescriptions and obtaining patient-specific information on medication use and clinical information for pharmacist assessment.
- Provide efficient imprest services including maintenance of stock levels in hospital clinical areas including the preparation and recording of Schedule 8 medicine orders.
- Provide education to patients and their families on a defined range of topics.
