About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Audiologist to join the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital Audiology Department, delivering high-level adult audiology services in a dynamic and fast paced, predominantly outpatient setting. This role provides the opportunity to independently manage a complex and diverse adult caseload across specialist clinical areas, applying high level clinical expertise and evidence-based practice to support optimal patient outcomes.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide high‑level, independent audiological clinical services to complex adult patients, including diagnostic assessment, specialised case management (with strong preference for cochlear implant and/or vestibular services), clinical documentation and reporting, with minimal need for direct supervision and in accordance with professional and ethical standards.
- Use high-level problem solving and critical thinking to support independent clinical reasoning and professional judgement in adapting routine audiological clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence, within one or more complex adult caseloads.
- Work collaboratively, respectfully, and effectively within the team and with patients, their families, community groups, other health professionals, supervisors and students.
