In accordance with the Metro North Health values, as outlined below, the role of Staff Specialist Neurologist, is to provide high quality, cost efficient and effective clinical and non-clinical services to directly or indirectly benefit the patients/clients of Metro North Health Service.
In addition to the key accountabilities listed below, the role of Staff Specialist Neurologist is to provide such services as may be reasonably directed from time to time by your line manager as outlined on the Organisational Chart, including any intra-department portfolios.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide direct clinical care to MNHHS clients (inpatient consultations) and in outpatient settings (including telehealth).
- Attend clinical meetings and participate in case discussions.
- Clinical supervision of the registrars.
- Support for clinical services in Neurology for Redcliffe Hospitals as required.
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Public Service and MNHHS values.
- Continue to be active clinically as a member of the department and maintain professional standards as expected of all staff specialists.
