As part of Central Queensland Health, we run nine community dental clinics across the region: from Rockhampton to Emerald, Gladstone, Blackwater, Biloela, Mount Morgan, Woorabinda, and even Capricornia Correctional Centre. We also deliver care through a network of fixed and mobile school dental clinics, so our clinicians can reach children and families wherever they are—bringing smiles to kids' faces and making a positive impact that lasts a lifetime.
About the role:
- Deliver high-quality general dental services to eligible clients, including the assessment, management, and referral of patients to appropriate specialists where required.
- Apply advanced clinical skills, competence, and experience to provide the full range of clinical procedures within the general scope of practice, including complex dental extractions, minor oral surgical procedures, and comprehensive dental treatment.
- Provide dental treatment for patients under general anaesthesia and relative analgesia, in accordance with clinical credentialing and service requirements.
- Develop, coordinate, and lead the delivery of an annual graduate mentoring program for junior dentists, including program design, structured learning activities, and ongoing support to facilitate clinical capacity and professional development.
About you:
- Current registration as a Dentist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and a current annual practising certificate.
- Possession of a licence to use radiation apparatus for dental purposes is mandatory for this position.
- The successful applicant must complete an application for a Medicare provider number for a dentist for the required location/s within CQHHS Oral Health Services.
- Demonstrated advanced clinical skills, competence, and experience to provide the full range of clinical procedures within the general dental scope of practice, including complex dental extractions, minor oral surgical procedures, and dental treatment under relative analgesia and general anaesthesia.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $207,702 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $89.07 - $91.81 p,h
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
