About this role
About us:
The Education and Research Unit provides Nursing and Midwifery education, professional practice development services and Clinical Practice Improvement initiatives for nursing and midwifery staff, to facilitate the achievement of best practice health service delivery requirements. The Education and Research Unit is led by the Nursing Director of Education and Research.
The Nurse Educators, Midwifery Educators, Clinical Nurse Consultants, Clinical Placement Coordinator, Clinical Facilitators, Student Facilitators, Transfusion Nurse and Librarians report to the Nursing Director of Education and Research. Nurse Educators in Gladstone, Emerald, Aged Care and Mental Health have professional links with the Education and Research Unit.
About the role:
The Nurse Educator is a Registered Nurse who is accountable at an advanced practice level for the design, implementation and assessment of nursing education programs, managing educational resources and providing nursing expertise related to educational issues within Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service. The Nurse Educator leads and supports a culture of development and enquiry which actively encourages and facilitates clinical, professional and organisational learning within a Supported Practice Framework.
- In this role you will be responsible for the content expertise to meet the education and training requirements for Paediatric services.
- Provide expertise in the provision of direct care and/or support of systems and/or education and/or research and/or professional leadership.
- You will demonstrate an advanced level of decision making in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team.
- This role reports directly to Nursing Director, Education and Research and professional links with Nursing service leads within the Women's and Children's division.
About you:
- A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate.
- Whilst not mandatory, a relevant postgraduate qualification at an AQF level 8 will support the operational expectations of this position. Where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion of the required post-graduate study within an agreed timeframe will be supported and will form part of the performance review process.
What we offer:
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $8,668 p.m. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $70.58 - $76.63 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
