About us:
Rockhampton Hospital is the heart of specialist healthcare in Central Queensland.
Our 305-bed hospital provides comprehensive care to Rockhampton and the wider CQ region, supported by hospitals in Gladstone, Emerald, Yeppoon, Biloela and surrounding rural communities.
With state-of-the-art cancer services, four operating theatres, two procedure rooms and a 6-bed ICU/HDU, we deliver a wide range of specialist medical and surgical care.

About the role:
- Deliver high-quality clinical care. Assess, diagnose and manage patients throughout their hospital journey, from admission and investigation through to treatment, discharge and follow-up. Work closely with senior medical staff to develop and coordinate safe, effective care plans.
- Be a key part of the clinical team. Collaborate with Staff Specialists, Registrars, junior doctors and inpatient teams to ensure seamless patient care. Coordinate investigations, admissions, handovers and discharge planning, while maintaining clear, accurate and timely medical records and documentation.
- Get involved across the service. Participate in the out-of-hours, night and weekend roster, contribute to clinical meetings and support the day-to-day delivery of a busy surgical service. You'll have the opportunity to work across a broad range of patients and clinical presentations.
- Teach, lead and keep learning. Support and supervise junior medical staff, contribute to undergraduate medical student teaching, present cases at teaching meetings and take an active role in continuing professional development and medical education.
About you:
- MBBS or equivalent, eligible for Medical Board of Australia registration, with current AHPRA registration. At least 2 years' Australian healthcare experience is a plus!
- Bring clinical experience and a genuine interest in Otolaryngology (ENT), with a desire to build your skills and broaden your experience.
- Confident working with patients, families and colleagues from all backgrounds, with strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills. You'll also bring a sharp eye for reviewing and improving patient care.
- Work collaboratively across a multidisciplinary team, keep your clinical records on point, and get involved in teaching, professional development and lifelong learning.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $169, 389 p.a. is comprised of:
- A salary rate between $137,861 - $151,417 p.a. (L4 – L7)
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
