Staff Specialist/Senior Staff Specialist/Consultant (Urology)

Remuneration up to $454,145 p.a. (excluding Superannuation)
We are looking for an exceptional Urology Specialist Consultant to join our Urology department within Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service.
This Specialist Consultant (Urology) role, known in Queensland Health as a Staff Specialist/Senior Staff Specialist (Urology), will focus on urological surgical oncology, with strong support for subspecialty development in endo-urology.
As a Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service employee your salary includes:
- Base salary comprising of between
- $103.05 – $119.32 p.h. (p/t) or $8,244.00 - $9,546.00 p.f. (f/t) L18 – L24 Staff Specialist
- $122.77 - $130.05 p.h. (p/t) or $9,822.00 - $10,404.00 p.f. (f/t) L25 – L27 Senior Staff Specialist
- Motor vehicle allowance (pro rata for Part-time)
- $21,000 p.a. L18 – L24 Staff Specialist
- $25,500 p.a. L25 – L27 Senior Staff Specialist
- Attraction and Retention Allowance up to 50% of base salary
- Overtime and on-call allowances (paid by exception)
- Professional development allowance $21,500 p.a. (pro rata for Part-time)
- Generous superannuation of up to 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- Annual leave loading

Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north. We care for our communities through Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Nambour General Hospital, Gympie Hospital, Maleny Soldier's Memorial Hospital, and Caloundra Health Service which includes a Minor Injury and Illness Clinic. We also provide care at a number of community and mental health sites, as well as Glenbrook Residential Aged Care.
As a Staff Specialist/Senior Staff Specialist (Urology), you will be responsible for providing high quality Urology care for our community, with a focus on leading safe care, driving quality improvement and innovation, and collaboratively contributing to department growth and development within a multidisciplinary team.
In this role, you will:
- Perform elective and emergency urological procedures
- Access the da Vinci robotic surgical system on a regular basis
- Collaborate with co-located private hospitals equipped with robotic platforms
- Access to advanced robotic surgical platforms in public and private settings
- Be supported in developing areas such as:
- Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP)
- Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL)
