The Research Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist (ROMP) – provides specialised research knowledge expertise and skill in the field of radiation oncology medical physics with specific applications to the radiation oncology service area in accordance with Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) and Queensland Health goals.
We are seeking a ACPSEM registered ROMP to develop and lead all research activities within the team and broader Radiation Oncology (RO) service. This exciting new role will primarily support the existing Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging Guided Radiation Therapy (fMRIrT) investigator led and Trans-Tasman Radiation Oncology Group (TROG) clinical trials within the department.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Demonstrate high level research knowledge expertise and skill in the field of radiation oncology medical physics with specific applications to the radiation oncology service area.
- Lead and manage the ROMP components of the existing fMRIrT investigator led and TROG supported clinical research programs within the department.
- Lead and manage new clinical research or a component of a major clinical research program with the research outcomes influencing clinical process and standards of clinical practise.
Remuneration value up to $259,661 p.a., comprising salary between $218,109 - $227.581 p.a. Medical Physicist Attraction and Retention Incentive payment Included, employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP5). Permanent Full time, 76 hrs p.f..
