Assistant in Nursing - Casual Pool - Expression of Interest
About this role
We're excited to welcome expressions of interest for Assistants in Nursing to both Nambour General Hospital and Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Birtinya.
The Assistant in Nursing (AIN) provides person centred nursing care within a dynamic health environment. They are required to perform a range of duties that require basic skills, knowledge, training and experience under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife.
Emergency, Access and Flow; Nursing and Midwifery Pool provides nursing support to the clinical service groups in Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. This comprises of all four hospitals (Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Birtinya, Nambour General Hospital, Maleny Soldiers Memorial Hospital and Caloundra Health Service).
The Assistant in Nursing reports to the Nurse Manager – Emergency Access and Flow at Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Birtinya and the Nurse Manager Nambour General Hospital.
The Casual Pool has no set roster, and nursing staff are required to submit their availability to meet workforce requirements. Casual staff are required to make themselves available on a regular basis.
This is an ongoing pipeline to be used to fill upcoming casual vacancies at Sunshine Coast Health.
Applications will be reviewed and considered if and when vacancies are identified.
