Clinical Nurse Research General Surgery and Trauma

About this role
The General Surgery and Trauma Services are seeking a part time Clinical Nurse Research to advance both departments from established quality improvement and informal research activities to structured, sustainable, and self-funding research programs.
The Research Nurse will provide interdepartmental coordination of research and quality improvement activities, working collaboratively with the Medical Directors and designated Research Leads.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Providing nursing and/or midwifery services in health service settings; and
- Responsible for a portfolio with a focus on clinical care/leadership, management, education and research.
- Understand your broad responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.
Remuneration based pro rata on equivalent full time value up to $36 645 p.a., comprising salary rates: $57.48 - $61.55 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1)) (Fixed term temporary part time position available for up to 36 months, 20 hrs p.f.).
