Enrolled Nurse Advanced Skills - Inpatient Unit 4A

We're excited to welcome an Enrolled Nurse (Advanced Skills) to the 4A Acute Geriatrics, Stroke & Neurology Inpatient Unit (IPU).

The 4A Acute Geriatrics, Stroke & Neurology IPU provides access to secondary and tertiary level acute care for adult medical inpatients. This unit focuses on providing exceptional care to inpatients, through a multidisciplinary approach.  IPU 4A is a 28-bed unit, including an 8-bed secure unit, specialising in the acute care of Stroke, Neurology and Geriatric patients.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
• Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) – State 2015 – Generic Level Statements Nurse Grade 6, Band 1 and the Queensland Public Service values.
• Understand your broad responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.
• Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.

Salary between $82 179 - $87 203 p.a. (f/t), or salary rates: $41.44 - $43.98 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) (Nurse Grade 5) (Permanent Full-time and/or Part-time position available, up to 76hrs p.f.). Applications will remain current for 12 months.
