Develop your career with Sunshine Coast Health in southeast Queensland which extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.
About this role
We're excited to welcome a Clinical Nurse (CN) to our Emergency Department Mental Health (EDMH) team.
The CN's role is to lead and deliver person centred nursing care at an advanced level based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Registered Nurse Standards for Practice. The CN is expected to be able to practice autonomously and provide leadership in clinical decision making. They have the responsibility for professional leadership in the absence of the Nurse Grade 7 and an opportunity to work collaboratively to lead practice changes and clinical innovation.

The CN provides specialist intake assessment, consultation, education and support to Emergency Department staff when making decisions regarding interventions and management of mental health consumers. It is expected that the EDMH team will provide after business hours support and mental health and addiction consultation to the Emergency Departments at Gympie and Maleny.
The Clinical Nurse reports to the Team Leader, Emergency Department Mental Health & Consultation Liaison.
