Pharmacy Technician

Join the STARS Pharmacy team as a Pharmacy Technician, where you’ll support patient care by delivering essential clinical and technical pharmacy tasks under the supervision of a pharmacist. You’ll play a key role in medicines management while contributing to service improvement and innovation in a modern healthcare environment.

About the role
Working closely with pharmacists and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will assist across the medicines management cycle, ensuring safe, timely, and accurate pharmacy services for patients accessing STARS.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide a defined range of clinical support tasks for patients relating to components of the medicines management cycle under the delegation of a pharmacist, in line with professional standards with appropriate training, supervision and competency assessments.
- Liaise effectively with other team members, hospital staff and patients, and coordinate work tasks in an efficient manner.
- Provide support, mentoring and supervision to less experienced pharmacy assistants.
- Assist with the collation and maintenance of pharmacy data and participate in quality improvement activities.
