Pharmacy Technician Advanced

Metro North Health is seeking an experienced Advanced Pharmacy Technician to support high‑quality patient care at STARS. In this role, you will deliver advanced clinical support tasks under pharmacist supervision, contribute to service innovation, and help optimise medicines management across a modern, digitally enabled health service.

About the role
Working closely with pharmacists and multidisciplinary teams, you will provide advanced technical and clinical support across the medicines management cycle, from admission through to discharge and outpatient care.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide a defined range of clinical support tasks for patients relating to components of the medicines management cycle under the delegation of a pharmacist, in line with professional standards with appropriate training, supervision and competency assessments.
- Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, in a clinical support capacity, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist conforming to current legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Provide support, mentoring and supervision to less experienced pharmacy assistants.
- Initiate, plan, perform and evaluate quality improvement activities under the guidance of a pharmacist.
