Metro North Health is seeking an experienced Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist – General Surgery (Hepatobiliary) to join STARS, delivering high‑quality elective surgical care in a planned, innovative environment.

This role offers the opportunity to provide specialist hepatobiliary surgical services while contributing to clinical leadership, teaching, research, and service improvement across Metro North
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Comply with and utilise procedures, policies, regulations, and standards which impact upon the position, including contemporary human resource management requirements and practices, such as workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination policies.
- Provide specialist General Surgery and Hepatobiliary services for patients undergoing elective surgery.
- Assist in education and simulation activities for junior medical and nursing staff, and as appropriate for a teaching hospital.
- Keep accurate digital records which meet the standards required by the Metro North Hospital Health Service and Royal Australian College of Surgeons.
