Clinical Nurse Consultant

Permanent part-time opportunity (28 hours per fortnight) to provide advanced clinical expertise and specialist clinical informatics advice to support the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of analytics and reporting functions for clinical information systems within STARS Anaesthetic, Perioperative and Procedural Services, and to lead the adoption, optimisation and change management of the integrated electronic Medical Record (ieMR), including SurgiNet and the Surgical Anaesthesia Application (SAA).

Permanent part-time opportunity to provide advanced clinical expertise and specialist clinical informatics advice to support Anaesthetic, Perioperative and Procedural Services within STARS. The role focuses on the development, implementation and optimisation of clinical information systems, including analytics and reporting functions, to support safe, high-quality patient care.
This position provides leadership in the adoption, optimisation and change management of the integrated electronic Medical Record (ieMR), including SurgiNet and the Surgical Anaesthesia Application (SAA), with responsibility for system maintenance, data integrity processes and coordinated system upgrades.
About you

- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) (2015) - Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 7 and the Queensland Health and Metro North Health's commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
- Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
- Demonstrate advanced specialist knowledge, experience, and clinical skills in Clinical Informatics for Anaesthetics, Perioperative, and Procedural Services.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and reasoning, advanced problem-solving skills and expert clinical judgement in relation to clinical informatics.
