Speech Pathologist - Advanced

Metro North Health is seeking an experienced and motivated Advanced Speech Pathologist to join our dynamic team at STARS.

About the role
In this role, you will provide advanced clinical expertise in the management of adult patients within procedural (ENT) services, including complex swallowing and voice disorders. You will work as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team to deliver innovative, high-quality patient care and lead service development initiatives.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide advanced level skills, knowledge and contemporary clinical practice in the speech pathology management of adult patients in the area of procedural ENT outpatient services to provide optimal patient outcomes, in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards. This position may also deliver advanced clinical speech pathology services across the Inpatient brain injury and general rehabilitation wards and Day Hospital services at STARS, and a key resource for advice and consultation in voice and dysphagia assessment, intervention and management.
- Utilise evidence-based practice to apply knowledge and skills that facilitate novel, complex, critical discipline specific or multidisciplinary clinical decisions, with minimal clinical practice supervision.
- Active leadership in the development and ongoing monitoring of service wide quality and service improvement initiatives to enhance speech pathology services, streamline patient care, and improve patient outcomes within STARS.
