About this role
Your opportunity
The Clinical Nurse Educator Aged Care practices autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team to provide aged care nursing education services within a rural / remote health service setting.
The Clinical Nurse Educator Aged Care position has a primary focus of education and support to under graduate, post graduate, new nursing and midwifery employees and ongoing professional develop of nurses and midwives. It is an advanced practice nurse who delivers a variety of clinical training activities designed to meet identified learning and development needs of nurses. The Clinical Nurse Educator Aged Care works in the aged care clinical area offering direct support and supervision to nurses to promote and facilitate clinical care outcomes.
The Clinical Nurse Educator Aged Care is an agent to support staff to adopt new practices or new methods of care delivery and to adapt to changes within their work environment.
The Clinical Nurse Educator Aged Care contributes to positive resident outcomes by facilitating the competence and confidence of clinicians via opportunistic learning opportunity within a clinical environment.

Charleville is a designated Remote Area Nursing Incentive Package (RANIP) site in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health) Award – State 2015. This attracts additional entitlements which may include:
- An annual isolation bonus paid annually!
- Return airfares to the nearest provincial city in conjunction with leave!
- Additional annual leave per annum!
