About this role
Your opportunity
The Nurse Educator is a senior level clinician who is responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise and advanced nursing practice level, supporting nursing workforce development and growth through co-ordination, development, and delivery of best practice education services.
This role will support an appropriately skilled workforce to deliver evidenced based person-centred care.
As a Nurse Educator you will demonstrate a specialised expertise and/or skill set in the provisions of nursing care as specified by registration requirements, NMBA standards and codes, innovative educational preparation and delivery, relevant legislation, and context of rural and remote nursing.
The position sits within the Nursing and Midwifery Team and facilitates opportunities for learning and development via innovation of the design, implementation and evaluation of education programs and the efficient management of education resources.
The Nurse Educator reports to the Nursing Director Nursing and Midwifery Education, Nursing and Midwifery Services with professional links to service leads.

Charleville is a designated Remote Area Nursing Incentive Package (RANIP) site in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health) Award – State 2015. This attracts additional entitlements which may include:
- An annual isolation bonus paid annually!
- Return airfares to the nearest provincial city in conjunction with leave!
- Additional annual leave per annum!
