Are you a passionate, woman-centred midwife looking for a meaningful career in one of Australia's most unique and beautiful regions? We are seeking an experienced Clinical Midwife (MGP) to join our dedicated team in Cooktown on a permanent basis.
🏥 About the role:
As a Clinical Midwife in our Midwifery Group Practice, you will provide continuity of care across the full scope of midwifery practice – antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal. This role is ideal for a midwife who values autonomy, close relationships with women and families, and working in a supportive rural environment.

🤝 You will:
- Provide high-quality, culturally safe midwifery care
- Work within a small, committed maternity team with strong links to Cairns
- Participate in on-call rostering as part of the MGP model
- Support women through personalised pregnancy, birth, and postnatal journeys
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including medical, child health, and First Nations health services

- Current AHPRA registration as a Midwife
- Proven experience in continuity-of-care models (MGP preferred)
- Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
- Commitment to culturally safe and family-centred care
- Ability to work flexibly, autonomously, and collaboratively
