The Torres Strait, Cape York, and Cairns region offers a unique tropical lifestyle combining remote, community-focused living with rich Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, where activities like fishing, boating, and cultural events are central to daily life. While the Torres and Cape have more limited facilities with essential services, Cairns provides a well-developed hub with hospitals, schools, shopping, and a vibrant tourism scene, giving residents access to both modern conveniences and the natural beauty of reefs, rainforests, and open landscapes.
Deliver high-quality child and youth mental health services (CYMHS) through comprehensive clinical assessment, treatment, and case management, working collaboratively with other service providers. As part of a multidisciplinary team, this role supports remote communities across the Torres and Cape, delivering care across the full lifespan and spanning both mental health and alcohol and other drug services.
