This is an opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care while enjoying the unique lifestyle and rich culture of the Torres Strait. Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will manage a diverse clinical caseload, provide evidence-based care across a range of settings and build meaningful relationships with patients, families and communities.

Play an important role in improving health outcomes through continuity of care, chronic disease management and community-focused health initiatives. The role offers opportunities to mentor junior doctors and medical students, contribute to quality improvement activities and participate in projects that support health equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

🌿 What we're looking for — someone who:

• is competent in rural and remote obstetric practice and wants their work to genuinely matter
• is respectful and community‑aware and passionate about delivering culturally safe care
• is encouraging and steady for colleagues and is broad‑skilled and adaptable
• has current full registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia
• has a Fellowship in General Practice (FACRRM or FRACGP) and/or a Rural Generalist qualification or has commenced a recognised General Practitioner or Rural Generalist pathway leading to FRACGP, FACRRM, FARGP or FRACGP-RG
