The Disaster Recovery Team within the Mental Health Service Group provides specialised mental health support following significant disasters. Our team delivers trauma-focused assessments, short-term interventions, and community outreach to promote resilience and recovery for individuals and families impacted by mass trauma events.

Competitive salary and benefits
- Salary between $3030.00 – $4453.50 per fortnight (HP3).
- 4 to 6 weeks p.a. recreational leave with 14-17.5% loading.
- Generous employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75%.

About your opportunity
As a Mental Health Clinician in the Disaster Recovery Team, you will provide trauma-focused assessments, short-term interventions, and case management for individuals and families affected by disasters. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community partners to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care that supports recovery and resilience.
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy, with current registration or eligibility for membership.
- Compliance with VPD requirements.
- Highly desirable:
- Formal training or qualifications in individual or group therapies
- While not mandatory, eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) under the Mental Health Act 2016 would be well regarded.
- Current “C” class driver's licence.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and provide outreach services.
- A probationary period may apply.
