The Nursing and Midwifery Staffing Team (NMST) provides flexible staffing solutions across Townsville University Hospital and affiliated community units. As part of the nursing pool, you will work across diverse clinical areas on a shift-by-shift basis, ensuring quality care and continuity for patients. Competitive salary and benefits

• Salary between $2730.40 – $2897.80 per fortnight (Nurse Grade 3).
• 4 to 6 weeks p.a. recreational leave with 14-17.5% loading.
• Generous employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75%.

About your opportunity

As an Enrolled Nurse within NMST, you will deliver person-centred care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, working across multiple clinical areas. This role offers variety, professional growth, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic healthcare environment.

This Expression of Interest collects a variety of information that will help the Townsville Hospital and Health Service identify potentially suitable applicants for future Nursing and Midwifery Staffing Team employment opportunities.

If deemed suitable your details will remain in the Clinical Talent Pool for a period of 12 months and you will be contacted further by the Nursing and Midwifery Staffing Team at the time an opportunity arises.

Further participation in other recruitment selection processes (for example written application and/or interview) to further assess suitability for appointment to a specific position may be required. Specialty skills will be assessed to determine eligibility for available positions. 

Requirements

• Diploma of Nursing and current registration with AHPRA.
• Evidence of vaccination against VPDs as per Queensland Health policy.
• Ability to work all shifts, including participation in an on-call roster.
• National Police Certificate for Aged Care compliance.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check or Yellow Card.
• A probationary period may apply.
