Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Salary range: $67,462 to $70,712 p.a. (OO3)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

About your opportunity
The Ambassador is a non-traditional security role that provides person-centred support and engagement within the Townsville University Hospital Emergency Department. The role focuses on proactively engaging consumers (patients, carers, and visitors) to enhance their experience and maintain a safe clinical environment. Ambassadors, as part of the multi-disciplinary team, work to prevent or reduce aggressive or disruption behaviour through mature communication skills and respectful, empathic, people -focused interactions.
Requirements:
- Participation in a continuous 24‑hour roster, 7 days a week, with a requirement to work weekends and public holidays.
- The successful candidate must possess a high level of self-control, emotional stability and be prepared to encounter potentially traumatic incidents.
- Whilst not mandatory, experience in healthcare security, or customer service will be well regarded.
