• Salary range: $113,979 to $122,048 p.a. (Nurse Grade 6 Band 1)
• 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
• 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
• Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
• Flexible working arrangements might be available in this role

About your opportunity

The Adult Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit (AAMHIU) is a 38-bed acute inpatient service located at The Townsville Hospital. The unit delivers specialised care to consumers experiencing acute episodes of mental illness.

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration

• Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
• Highly Desirable: Eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) under the Mental Health Act 2016.
• Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.
• Driver Licence: This position requires the applicant to possess an appropriate license to operate a Class C (car) motor vehicle.
