Health Security Officer
Townsville Hospital and Health Service is looking for a permanent full-time Health Security Officer to join our supportive team. You’ll help maintain staff safety and contribute to positive patient outcomes, with no prior security experience required. Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Base salary range: $69,823 to $73,188 p.a.
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus a range of salary packaging options to increase take-home pay
About your opportunity
- Provide frontline security and emergency response services, including responding to staff duress alarms, fire alarms and requests for assistance.
- Maintain a safe environment for staff, patients and visitors through patrols, monitoring facilities and supporting clinical teams.
- Operate and monitor CCTV, electronic security systems and access controls to ensure the security of hospital buildings and infrastructure.
- Prevent, investigate and document security incidents, including theft, damage, trespass and behavioural concerns.
Requirements:
- Completion of a functional capacity assessment and disclosure of any pre-existing injuries or medical conditions.
- Ability to remain calm and professional when responding to challenging situations.
Well regarded:
- Certificate III in Security Operations (or equivalent/higher).
- Current security licence.
