We are seeking a Senior Staff Specialist / Staff Specialist / Senior Medical Officer (Psychiatrist) to join our dynamic team in Wide Bay Mental Health & Specialised Services. Your opportunity:
- Provide expert Psychiatric care and advice to patients attending Mental Health Services (out-patient, in-patient and hospital-in-the-home) in Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals.
- Provide professional leadership in the area of Mental Health within a multidisciplinary environment.
- Provide training, education and supervision to junior medical staff and other health care team members
Opportunity for Private Practice
The successful candidate may have the opportunity to establish private practice outside of their WBHHS appointment with local private hospitals. The successful candidate may receive assistance and concessions with:
- Use of the local private hospital's sessional rooms to allow establishment of practice and referral pathways
- Assistance with credentialling and administrative support to commence private practice
- Introduction to local GP's, physicians and surgeons to facilitate referral pathways.
