About this role
Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.

The Talent Pool has been developed to support new opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who have expressed interest in joining our workforce.

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Workforce stream comprises the following roles:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioners
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mental Health, Alcohol and/or Other Drugs Health Workers
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Hospital Liaison Officers (including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community, and Mental Health, Liaison Officers)
It is mandatory to hold one of the below qualifications to be considered for the above roles:
- Enrolled in Certificate III in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care
- Certificate III in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care
- Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care, or
- Certificate IV in Mental Health or
- Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work, or
- Certificate IV in Alcohol and Drugs
- Diploma in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care
- Diploma in Mental Health, or
- Diploma in Alcohol and Drugs
