About the work unit / facility:
The Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services (BEMS) team delivers engineering and maintenance services across Townsville HHS facilities. Supporting hospitals, health centres and residential aged care homes, the team maintains critical infrastructure supporting safe, high-quality healthcare services.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Salary range: $73,222 to $90,332 p.a. (HBEA10 - HBEA6)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- SIDM, BEMS Tool and District allowances may apply.
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
About your opportunity:
Join the BEMS team as a Rural Tradesperson based in Charters Towers. In this hands-on role, you will maintain and repair buildings, plant and equipment across rural health facilities, supporting the delivery of safe, reliable healthcare environments. You'll support essential infrastructure across rural health facilities with travel to regional sites as required.
Requirements:
- Mandatory trade qualification and proof of registration (if applicable)
- Current Class C drivers licence with appropriate endorsement to operate required vehicle.
- Partcipation in an on-call roster.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease risk role.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
