The Adult Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit (AAMHIU) is a modern 36-bed facility at Townsville University Hospital providing acute assessment, diagnosis and treatment for people experiencing mental health disorders.

Competitive salary and benefits:
Generous remuneration package value up to $11,047 p.m. comprising:
- Salary range: $3067.00 to $4453.50 p.f. (HP3)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Professional Development allowance
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
About your opportunity
Join AAMHIU as an Occupational Therapist and provide occupational therapy assessments, treatment and interventions for people experiencing acute psychiatric mental health symptoms. Working collaboratively with consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary team, you'll deliver individual and group-based care that supports dignity, wellbeing and recovery while contributing to a safe therapeutic environment.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification (or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy and proof of registration (if applicable)
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
