Join a high-performing in-house legal team and work on a diverse range of employment, dispute resolution, litigation, and regulatory matters. This role offers the opportunity to advise on contentious matters, provide advocacy in tribunal proceedings, oversee significant litigation conducted by external legal providers and advise senior decision-makers on complex and often sensitive issues affecting the organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who enjoys advocacy, dispute resolution and solving complex problems, and who is looking for a role that combines meaningful public sector work with genuine variety and professional challenge.

Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

• Salary range: $144,315 to $154,879 p.a. (PO5)
• 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
• 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
• Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:

• Possess a degree in Law and admission or eligibility for immediate admission to practice as a solicitor or barrister in the Supreme Court of Queensland and enrolment or eligibility for enrolment to practice in the High Court of Australia.
• Probation period may apply.
• Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
