About the work unit / facility
The Urology Department at Townsville University Hospital is a dynamic and high-performing unit within the Surgical Service Group. Equipped for both open and laparoscopic procedures, the department performs over 600 operations and 500 outpatient procedures annually. TUH is also advancing robotic-assisted surgeries and preparing to become Queensland's second kidney transplant site.

Competitive salary and benefits
- Salary between $9641.00 – $10221.70 (L25-L27) or $8062.00 – $9364.50 (L18-L24).
- 4 to 6 weeks p.a. recreational leave with 14-17.5% loading.
- Generous employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75%.
- Attraction and retention incentive allowance (50% base salary)
- Motor vehicle allowance between $21,000 and $25,500 p.a.
- Professional development allowance of $21,500 p.a. + 3.6 weeks p.a. leave.

About your opportunity
As a Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist in Urology, you will provide comprehensive surgical services, lead clinical governance, and contribute to workforce management and service development. You'll be part of a team advancing robotic-assisted surgery and preparing for kidney transplant services.
Requirements
- Registration or eligibility for registration as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Accreditation for robotic-assisted surgery and interest in kidney transplant services desirable.
- Awarded SoCP by the THHS Credentialing and SoCP committee.
- Evidence of vaccination or immunity to VPDs as per Queensland Health Policy.
- A probationary period may apply.
