About the work unit / facility
The Disaster Recovery Team within the Mental Health Service Group provides trauma-informed mental health care and community support following major disasters. Our team works collaboratively across sectors to deliver outreach, assessment, and intervention services that promote resilience and recovery for individuals and communities impacted by disaster events.

Competitive salary and benefits
- Salary between $4912.70 – $5286.40 per fortnight (HP4).
- 4 to 6 weeks p.a. recreational leave with 14-17.5% loading.

About your opportunity
As a Senior Mental Health Clinician – Disaster Recovery, you will deliver trauma-focused assessments and interventions, provide clinical leadership, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support individuals and communities affected by disasters. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while advancing your clinical expertise.
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work.
- While not mandatory, eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016 would be well regarded.
- Experience in mental health clinical practice, including trauma-informed care.
- All employees of the Mental Health Service Group (MHSG) may be required to work in other areas of the Service.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and across sectors.
- Current C class driver's licence.
- A probationary period may apply.
