- Salary range: $5081.10 to $5516.60 p.f. (Nurse Grade 7)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

About your opportunity
The CNC – Clinical Documentation Specialist will partner with the Clinical Coding team and clinicians to promote patient safety, data integrity and financial sustainability through continuous clinical documentation improvement and accurate clinical coding. This position will provide advice and guidance to stakeholders to directly impact and optimise activity-based funding (ABF) at both the point of care and post-discharge.
Requirements:
- Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
- Highly Desirable: Experience and/or knowledge of clinical coding and ABF.
- Driver Licence: This position requires the applicant to possess an appropriate license to operate a Class C (car) motor vehicle. Verification of license must be provided prior to commencement of duty.
- Travel: This position may be required to travel to (via small planes or ferry), and work at, other facilities located within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service, e.g., participate in clinical activities or meetings for planning, quality, performance and education. This may involve day and/or overnight stays. The successful applicant must be able to commit to this requirement.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
