The Senior Purchasing Officer will supervise a small team of Purchasing Officers to ensure that THHS clinical and non-clinical purchasing requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner. They will undertake cost effective and innovative purchasing, inventory management, invoice verification and contract management support to clients.

- Salary range: $3481.60 to $3835.70 p.f. (AO4)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
About your opportunity
Lead and direct a small team of Purchasing Officers in the efficient delivery of transactional purchasing activity for Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS).
Requirements:
- Whilst not mandatory, experience in the use of SAP S4HANA or similar operating systems is preferred.
- It is desirable for the appointee to hold a current C class of drivers licence, as there may be a requirement to undertake site visits for client engagements and training.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
