Mental Health Service Group are seeking an Allied Health Clinician (Occupational Therapist or Psychologist or Speech Pathologist or Social Worker) to join the Adolescent Inpatient Unit and Day Program team.

About the opportunity
The Allied Health Clinician works within a multidisciplinary team consisting of both QLD Health and Department of Education staff. As a highly functioning multidisciplinary team member, you will provide clinical services to ensure that the work unit delivers high quality, innovative, mental health and discipline specific assessment and treatment to adolescents and their families/carers.
PLEASE NOTE - This is a temporary full-time position, commencing ASAP - 21/06/2026. Please note there is a possibility of an extension, not exceeding 12 months.
Adolescent Day Program (outpatient service)
The Adolescent Day Program (ADP) caters for high school aged outpatients living in the Townsville community who have a pattern of disengagement from school due to their mental health concerns. The ADP has both an educational and therapeutic focus. Both components are delivered through group, individual, and systemic modalities. The aim of the program is to transition disengaged young people back into an educational pathway. The AIUDS Education program which is facilitated by the Department of Education plays a critical role in academic, social, and functional recovery outcomes for all young people engaged with this service. Family interventions and care co-ordination are also provided as part of this program.

- Salary range: $3030.00 - $4453.50 p.f. (HP3)
- 4 weeks annual leave (pro rata) with 17.5% loading

- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
Requirements:
- Applicants must hold tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in one of the following and registration or eligibility for membership with the relevant authorities
- Social Worker, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Psychology
- Highly desirable for all disciplines:
- Possession of relevant post- registration and/or tertiary qualification in mental health would be well regarded for a position at this level.
- Eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under Mental Health Act 2016 would be well regarded.
