About this role
About your opportunity:
An amalgamation of historic roles, such as Catering, Cleaning and Laundry has led to a cohesive team approach to Resident service delivery. Staff flexibility is a key factor to the success of achieving the primary objective of the Operational Service Officer. Communication is primarily with the supervisor and the encompasses all staff within the multidisciplinary team including nursing, allied health and administration.
About the unit:
Parklands Residential Aged Care Facility is a health service within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service and is supported by the Rural Hospitals Group. The facility provides service delivery to 70 residents. The McCarthy high care frail aged unit has 40 beds including one community respite. Our Nautilus unit has 30 beds for mobile wandering residents requiring care within a secure unit, Nautilus includes two community respite beds.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Salary range: $34.02 to $35.66 p.h. (OO3)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
Role Requirements:
- Highly Desirable:
- Possession of trade-based qualification or demonstrated comparable level of competency-based skills in professional and dietary cooking in a health care setting.
- Possession of a current Food Safety Supervisors Certificate.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted, including NDIS Screening.
