About your opportunity
The role of the Patient Safety Officer is to provide expertise and leadership aimed at ensuring an organisation culture where minimising preventable patient harm is a strong core value. This position works collaboratively with statewide entities, senior executive members, managers, clinical leaders, multi-disciplinary team members, external stakeholders, clinicians, patients, and consumers demonstrating a commitment to improving patient outcomes and minimising preventable patient harm.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Salary range: $139,951 to $151,949 p.a. (Nurse Grade 7/HP5)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
Requirements:
Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration
- Mandatory: Bachelor of Nursing/Midwifery or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position.
- Applications are open to applicants from all eligible Health Practitioner (HP) professions.
- Nursing: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate. /li>
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
