About the work unit / facility
Parklands Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) is a Queensland Health-managed service within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service, located at the Kirwan campus in Townsville. The facility provides care for 70 residents, including dedicated dementia care and support for older people with frailty and complex care needs.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Base salary range: $35.05 - $38.37 p.h.
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- On-call and shift allowances (where applicable)

As an Assistant in Nursing, you will provide compassionate, resident-centred care, support daily living activities, and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to promote residents' health, wellbeing and quality of life. Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will contribute to the delivery of safe, high-quality care in a supportive aged care environment.
Highly Desirable
Applicants who meet one of the following criteria are considered highly desirable:
- Hold a relevant Certificate III in Aged Care, Health Services Assistance, or an equivalent qualification; or
- Have successfully completed the first semester (full-time equivalent) of a Diploma of Nursing, including all theoretical and clinical competencies; or
- Have successfully completed the first year (full-time equivalent) of an undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing program, including all theoretical and clinical competencies.
