Shape major contracts, research partnerships, technology projects, and commercial arrangements for one of Queensland's largest health services.

Join a collaborative in-house legal team and work across a diverse commercial practice that includes procurement, digital health, research, intellectual property, funding, leasing, and strategic partnerships. You'll provide practical legal advice on complex and high-value projects that support the delivery of healthcare services across northern Queensland. The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:

• Demonstrated ability to undertake high level contractual drafting.
• Demonstrated ability to provide high level legal advice on a wide range of commercial matters and the capacity to apply that advice to the health portfolio, particularly in the areas of health, medical research, employment, joint appointments, funding agreements and lease arrangements.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively consult and communicate with clients, including highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety and ethical behaviour.

Role requirements

• Possess a degree in Law and admission or eligibility for immediate admission to practice as a solicitor or barrister in the Supreme Court of Queensland and enrolment or eligibility for enrolment, to practice in the High Court of Australia.

• Salary range: $5531.60 - $5936.50 p.f.  (PO5)
• 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
• 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
